Nalley's Original Chili

Better Than Biscuits

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder (optional)*
  • 2/3 cup Nalley's Mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cup milk

Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Mix mayonnaise with milk; pour into flour. Stir with fork until blended. On floured board, knead dough gently 8 or 10 times. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut. Bake in 450 degree oven 12-15 minutes. Makes 14-2 1/2 inch biscuits. *Add curry when you top these with creamed chicken or fish. For Cheese Stix: Add 1 cup shredded cheese to the dry ingredients. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut in 1/2" x 4" strips. Brush with butter; sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Bake at 450 degrees for 6 minutes.
